Dog backwards is God
Tuesday, April 15th, 2008ok. when we first got our dog, Chopsticks, I missed daily mass a bunch of times and when I commented to the church secretary that I was blaming my lack of attendance on the dog she said to me -”Maureen, dog spelled backwards is god…you have a new god in your life…you better treat him well.”
I still say dogs (and all animals) belong outdoors most of the time.
Our dog was at the kennel while we were away in Memphis for a handful of days….since his welcome back home he has poohed and urinated in the house a handful of times. This has happened to me already too many times…. first with the indoor cats we use to have - whenever we were away and left them a few days to tend to themselves we were always welcomed back home for the next few days to a number of accidents about the house. I suspected more….they were showing that they were mad at us I suppose. Now, the same with the dog. I do, I do, love him. Yet, I am longing the days that I don’t have to be tied to his situation…today he also nipped at one of the neighborhood mail carriers - I was standing there talking to the kind and gentle mailman who services our apt on 5th Ave - handing him some post that I saw fly off his cart - he kindly took the pieces from my hand and my dog was just sniffing at his ankles etc and then all of a sudden my dog starts at him… luckily the mailman was a good sport and I was quick at pulling the dog from his leg - there were only nail marks on the mailman’s leg and he was a swell gentleman about the entire affair. Whew….
cu spelling dog backwards an awful lot lately,
voh
